The KAMA located at the Incheon International Airport in Yeongjong Island 50 km west of Seoul, together with its subsidiary meteorological stations and observatories at each international and domestic airport, plays a hub role in the aeronautical meteorological service and carries out all the functions necessary to meet the needs of flight operations at the airport, as well as providing meteorological service within the Incheon Flight Information Region (FIR) as a Meteorological Watch Office (MWO).
KAMA is composed of the Headquarters(Incheon), 4 Airport Weather Station(Gimpo, Jeju, Muan, Ulsan), 1 Radio Transmission Station(Gimpo) and 8 Airport Weather Observatories (Gimhae, Cheongju, Daegu , Yangyang, Yeosu, Gwangju, Pohang, Sacheon). There are 3 divisions at HQs namely the Planning and General Affairs, Forecast and Information and Technology Support division.
